At Luyef Biotechnologies, we want to cultivate a culture of collaboration in STEM. That’s why we prioritize community gatherings, especially those where we can share our work to inspire future generations.
Last week, we participated in Universidad de Chile’s Department of Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Materials Anniversary Week. Through undergraduate and graduate programs, this department trains outstanding STEM professionals.
We participated in the Department – Organized Entrepreneurship and Business Exhibition, where students learned about Luyef through an interactive booth led by Ma. Beatriz Lazen, Luyef’s Biology Intern.
Importantly, PhD Juan Amado, Senior Scientist of the Microbiology and Fermentation Team, gave a testimonial talk to Civil Engineering students.
Luyef has a long history of collaboration with this prestigious university: Ma. Soledad Gutiérrez, Kris Blanchard, and José Duguet, members of Luyef’s executive team, completed their undergraduate and graduate studies in Universidad de Chile. Additionally, we continue to collaborate with distinguished members from its Science and Engineering departments, including PhD Ziomara Gerdtzen, Head of the Mammalian Cell Culture Lab from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology and Materials.
We thank the Department for letting us be part of this inspiring week.
