Celebrating Biotechnology Day: Bridging Academia and Industry in Chile

Chilean biotech has a future. And it shows.

On June 17th, we joined Universidad Santo Tomás (CL) celebrating Biotechnology Day, alongside Araceli Vidal Aguila (FungiChemicals), Manuel Palma Astudillo (P&M Foods), and Rodrigo A. Contreras Arredondo (NotCo). This inspiring event brought together students, academics, researchers, and companies from Chile’s biotech ecosystem.
We’re grateful to UST for inviting us to be part in such a valuable space for connection between academia and industry, an enriching experience. Events like these, where science and business meet, are fundamental for the development of biotechnology in Chile.
Our CEO Kris Blanchard, PhD presented “Cellular Agriculture: the beginning of a new era in the food industry,” sharing the vision of how this technology is redefining food production and the opportunities it creates.
We were also filled with pride to see Valeria Martínez, a UST student, receive recognition for her work. Valeria is currently developing her undergraduate thesis with us. While she’s just beginning this journey, we’re confident it will be a valuable experience for both her and our team.
